Therefore, in order to identify PTR in a woman, the doctor is required to ask the right questions, because otherwise it could be confused with posttraumatic stress disorder, which could have negative effects. The general questions, the doctor must apply to a woman who would bear PTR are:
  • Do you feel uncomfortable or increased the level of insecurity after pregnancy?
  • Are you avoid discussing topics such as childbirth?
  • Does the response to the increasing number of shocks you after delivery?
  • Do you experience symptoms such nightmares, depression and anxiety?
If the answer to any one of these questions is "yes", then chances are that you are suffering from Post Pregnancy Response (PTR).

It is not unusual to have this problem, and it can result from a number of factors, such as hormones changed, or sudden increase in the level of thyroid after pregnancy. However, it should not be taken lightly. If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned above, you should immediately consult a professional for help. Sometimes talk therapy works wonders in the treatment of PTR. If you feel the need, you can also consult a psychiatrist as NTP is more mental rather than physical problem and a psychiatrist can help you get out of this situation.
